The Canopy Cord Grip provides strain relief for the cord when it exits the ceiling canopy. This helps keep the cord secure and the wiring behind the canopy safely in place behind the mount. Cord grips are an important component for pendant lighting applications, and while some of our ceiling canopies come with ports already in place, we also sell them separately.
Pair the canopy cord grip with one of our blank canopy options to give your design more flexibility and designate the locations of your punches or customize the color of your canopy and grips to your own paint or powder coat specifications. You can even fabricate your own canopy, but these grips are compatible with all of our color cord options in 18g so that you can incorporate all of our other parts into the design.
For our raw metal and raw brass finishes, keep in mind that these are untreated and designed to have a natural, industrial look. So they are intended to be in their raw state with imperfections and color variations, which will oxidize and tarnish over time similar to upcycled applications. However, our raw finish is perfect for anyone that wants to buff and polish the brass to their liking or sand and paint the metal to the color of your choosing.
