Use the Cord Stay to Keep Cords in Place
Manage the path of your color cord with our sleek cord stay. Whether you want to create a straight line or structure a zig-zag design, the stay is simple to install and looks great too! In our studio, we like to use it to secure the cord running from a sconce or swag pendant. It also is very effective as a minimalistic swag hook in the ceiling for low-weight fixtures.
The Cord Stay comes with a compatible wood screw as well as a hex key to adjust the anti-spin set screw if needed. We recommend using a drywall anchor (not included) if not mounting the Cord Stay into a stud or using the stay to bear any weight beyond the placement of a cord. This cord stay is essential if you want to create a unique look or make your customized lamp cords stand out.
Versatile Use for Customized Cords
The stay is easy to put on the wall and use with our customizable cords. It includes a hex key and a wood screw. 25/32” diameter is perfect for our DIY lamp cords. Its 9/16” height won’t stick out too far, but it will be a perfect addition to your lighting fixture look.
With several different color options available, you can choose the stay that matches or one that contrasts for a pop of color in your lighting fixture design. If you are interested in the raw metal finish, please be aware that this style is intended and will oxidize and rust to match industrial and upcycled applications. However, this is also the best finish to paint after sanding.
Hanging Lights
A cord stay is also a perfect option if you’re hanging pendant lights or other light fixtures. It makes an ideal hook and is easy to install into any type of ceiling. Since it can hold up to 3 pounds of weight when it’s installed in a stud, you’ll be able to hang all your favorite pendant lights from it. It is made to match a variety of cords and creates a more modern look compared to traditional hooks for lights.
