Our DIY Flat Parallel SPT-1 Wire in ivory is a specialty wire that is generally used in specific applications, such as restoration work or select lamp assembly projects. Uses for this 2-conductor cloth-covered wire are generally limited to advanced level DIY projects or when upgrading a vintage style fixture with modern components. All of our cord is sold by the foot so you can order as much as you need for your project.
This SPT-1 wire features two parallel wires surrounded by an extra-safe PVC jacket, which is covered with a double insulated cover finished with the color rayon cloth. This cord is not UL Listed but is suitable for lamps and small appliances. We recommend ordering 1-2 feet more than you need to compensate for length cuts and wire stripping. Max weight rating is dependent on the final application and assembly.
