Our 1/8 IPS Eyelet or sometimes known as a cord inlet bushing is used to protect your cloth-covered wire from any damage it could gain from exiting or entering a fixture in some way. We commonly use eyelets to protect the cord when exiting or entering a piece of metal. A 1/8 IPS nut may be needed (sold separately) in some applications to secure the eyelet.
