Our frost white twist socket is a clean simple solution for creative DIY light fixtures with exposed bulbs or shades. This is a 2-Conductor cord socket, however it is compatible with our 3-conductor cord if the ground wire is clipped and left unused. The socket is made out of hard plastic and has a removable ring that will allow you to hang lamp shades or pendants with wire and ring interior forms to diffuse the light. If you are using this socket with our cloth covered wire, we recommend using a cord grip / strain relief for a secure attachment, sold separately. Please do not exceed more than 5 lb pull weight on this socket. If you would like to assemble a socket and cord for a lighting application, please consult a licensed electrician.
These sockets are self-locking! Do not assemble the sockets with the terminal inside before it is wired. The terminal will lock the socket permanently.
